My second computergame inspired blaster, actually V4, is finally pretty much finished.
I decided to create a new album for it, since there might come some more images and hopefully some videos. So it's basically a tidying thing.
The blaster was redesigner from older versions I modelled in Fusion 360. In a side by side image in here they look pretty much alike, apart from the missing revolver type back and the different colors. However, reality is, I had to either redesign a lot of the parts or designing entirely new ones.
I started this build, I believe, in May 2024, now it'd the first week of 2025. I think that's a decent time, considering that's all done outside of work, and especially the clean-up and painting has been done in the back yard. The weather didn't cooperate that much ;-)
Like I said, software used was Fusion 360, then all parts but one printed on an adventurer 3 FDM printer with 15*15cm bed. The classic-car-type top casing was too big for my printer, so it's been printed on a K1 max.
There's one Nano board in the "magazine" part, along with 2 LED strips, a small TFT screen and 2 18650 batteries, and another Nano board in the frame, alongside 3 laser LEDs, a mp3 player and speaker for sound effect, 2 LED "noodles".
On top is a fold down halo scope (Ali0 and front bottom center is a aiming laser (also Ali).
I have also designed a V2 and V3. V2 existas as an unpainted demo version in our shop, I plan to build a battered-up-rusty-dirty version based on that. V3 exists only digitally for now. That's a version sporting a shoulder stock, but I'm not really happy with it yet.
Finally I got around to make a day-and-night-video showing all of the effects of my V4 blaster.
Please don't be too hard on me, it's the first time I used a full frame camera and I'm still finding my way. I also had to operate camera, fog machine, lights
